SBCCO-China supplies and inspects water and wastewater equipment — clarifier and thickener internals, FRP collection systems and launders, filters, odour control and biofilters, tanks, GRP pipework and pumps — most of it dimensioned to basins and structures that already exist on site.
01 / The circuit
Most of this equipment has to fit something somebody else already poured.
Greenfield plants are the easy half. The work that actually comes to us is a retrofit — a collection system for a basin built in 1996, a launder that has to land on an existing weir, a filter deck whose OEM no longer supports the machine. That is a survey problem before it is a fabrication problem.

02 / Failure modes
What actually fails on a treatment plant.
The failures in this sector are rarely dramatic. They are slow, they are usually about fit or material selection, and they cost far more in labour than in equipment.

The common thread is that the expensive mistakes are made before anyone lifts a tool on site. A basin survey and a water analysis at enquiry stage remove most of them.

04 / What to send us
Send the basin survey and the water analysis.
Two documents remove most of the risk on a treatment plant order. If you have neither, send photographs with a tape measure in them and we will tell you what still needs measuring.
- Basin, deck or structure survey — or photographs with reference dimensions
- Water or effluent analysis: chlorides, free chlorine, pH, temperature
- Flow rate, hydraulic loading and design turndown
- Existing equipment make and model where you are retrofitting
- The worn or broken part itself, where no drawing survives
- Materials already in the plant, so galvanic couples are avoided
- Local design standards the equipment must satisfy
- Inspection and test plan, and who witnesses it
- Access constraints: door and hatch sizes, crane capacity, working headroom
- Whether you want us to name and introduce the fabricator

Water & wastewater — common questions
Can you supply internals for a basin built by someone else?
Yes — it is most of what we do in this sector. We need a survey of the structure and the process duty. We return a dimensioned proposal drawing for approval before anything is fabricated, and everything ships match-marked to an erection drawing.
Will 316L be good enough for our water?
Sometimes. It depends on chloride level, free chlorine, temperature and crevice geometry. Send the analysis and we will tell you honestly, including when duplex or FRP is the cheaper answer over the life of the plant.
Can you match a discontinued clarifier or filter part?
Usually. Send the machine make and model, or the part itself. We dimension it, issue a reconstruction for your written approval, and manufacture to the approved geometry. We do not put OEM brand names on the part or represent it as OEM-manufactured.
How large a thickener or clarifier can be shipped?
Up to 45 m diameter, supplied as bolted or welded segments sized to fit containers or flat racks. Segments are trial-assembled and match-marked in China so field fit-up is mechanical rather than corrective.
Do you supply the jointing materials for GRP pipe?
Yes. Butt-and-strap kits, resin, veil, a tooling list and a written jointing procedure ship with the pipe, and we can send a supervisor for the first joints if your crew has not done it before.
What lead times should we plan for?
FRP internals and launders 10–18 weeks; thickeners and clarifiers 16–24 weeks; GRP pipe 10–16 weeks depending on diameter. Retrofit work is scheduled backwards from your outage window.
