SBCCO-China builds to print. Send a drawing, a sketch, a worn part or a photograph and we will find the right shop in China, agree the inspection plan before work starts, watch it being built, and ship it documented — in carbon steel, stainless, alloy, FRP or lined construction.
01 / What we supply
What build-to-print covers
Roughly a third of what we ship every year does not appear in any catalogue. It exists because a customer sent us a drawing, or a broken part, or a photograph with a tape measure held against it.

Heavy Steel Fabrication
Frames, chutes, hoppers, launders, platforms, skids and structural assemblies — cut, rolled, welded and machined to your drawings, with weld maps and NDT to your inspection plan.

Tanks & Vessels to Drawing
Atmospheric and low-pressure tanks, agitated vessels and sumps in carbon steel, stainless, duplex or lined construction, shop-fabricated or supplied as field-erected kits.

Machined Components
Large-envelope machining — vertical boring to 8 m, horizontal boring, CNC turning to 4 m and gantry milling — with a dimensional report issued against the drawing before crating.

Cast-to-Print Parts
Castings and forgings produced from your drawing or reverse-engineered from a worn part, with pattern making, simulation before pour, and full heat traceability.

FRP & Lined Fabrication
Custom FRP tanks, ducts, hoods, scrubbers and lined equipment laminated to an approved schedule, for duties where coated steel does not last.

Packing & Export
Export crating, seaworthy packing, VCI and desiccant protection, lifting and lashing drawings, and a dated photographic record taken before the container is sealed.

03 / How we control it
Build-to-print goes wrong in the gap between the drawing and the shop floor.
A drawing that is perfectly clear in Denver is read by a foreman in Hebei whose first language is not English and whose default is to build it the way he built the last one. Almost every build-to-print dispute we have seen started there. Closing that gap is most of our job.
Every drawing is reviewed and queried before it is priced
Our engineers read the drawing, list the ambiguities and send you the questions in writing before quoting. A quotation that arrives with no questions attached is usually a quotation from someone who has not read the drawing.
Tolerances and finishes are translated, not assumed
Drawing notes, weld symbols, surface finishes and tolerance callouts are converted into shop-floor instructions in Chinese, and the translation is checked by the same engineer who reviewed the drawing.
First-article inspection before the batch runs
On repeat parts we inspect and report the first piece before the rest are made. It is far cheaper to argue about one part than about forty.
You see it before it is crated
Dated photographs at fit-up, welding, machining, coating and packing, plus a dimensional report against your drawing. Nothing ships on a verbal approval.

Custom fabrication — common questions
I only have a worn part, not a drawing. Can you still make it?
Yes. Send the part, or photographs with measurements at the points we specify. We scan or measure it, reconstruct the as-new geometry, and issue the reconstruction for your written approval before anything is cut. The reconstruction is yours to keep.
Who owns the drawings and the intellectual property?
You do. Drawings, patterns and reconstructions produced under your order are yours, are not shown to other customers, and are not used for other work. We will sign your NDA before you send anything.
Will you tell me which shop is building my equipment?
Yes. We name the shop, its accreditations and comparable work it has done. You are welcome to visit it with us and to appoint your own inspector at any stage of the order.
Can you handle a small order, or is there a minimum?
There is no fixed minimum. Small orders carry proportionally more of the inspection and freight cost, and we will say so plainly in the quotation rather than hide it in the unit price.
What if the finished part does not match the drawing?
It does not ship. We have found parts out of tolerance — over nearly forty years anyone honest has. What we commit to is finding it in China, telling you the same week, and correcting it at our own cost before it becomes your problem on site.
