Selection guides, an alloy and material reference, and the specific information we need in order to quote each product family. Written for engineers and buyers who have a decision to make before they can raise an enquiry — ungated, with no email address required to read any of it.

01  /  Selection guides

The decisions that have to be made before an enquiry exists.

Most of what a buyer needs is not a catalogue. It is help choosing between two materials, or knowing which limit applies. These are the reference tables and design rules published across this site, indexed in one place.

Wear parts — what goes where, and why.

Compiled from the parts we actually ship into mining and cement plants. Where a Chinese grade is given, the nearest ASTM equivalent is shown alongside it — they are close, not identical, and we will tell you when the difference matters.

ApplicationTypical materialNotes
Jaw plates — fixed, movable, swingMn13Cr2 · Mn18Cr2 · Mn22Cr3 · TiC-insertedManganese work-hardens under impact, so it suits primary crushing. TiC inserts extend life where the feed is highly abrasive rather than simply hard.
Cone crusher mantles, bowl liners, concavesMn14 · Mn18 · Mn22Chosen against your abrasion index rather than by default. Cast and heat-treated to certified chemistry, with the heat number stamped on the part.
Impact crusher blow bars and impact platesMartensitic steel · high-chrome iron · ceramic-inserted · TiC-insertedMartensitic where impact dominates, high-chrome where abrasion dominates, ceramic or TiC inserts where both do. The wrong choice here halves service life.
Bimetallic wear plates, chocky bars, CCO and overlay plateHigh-chrome on mild steel, vacuum-brazed · tungsten carbide · TiCFor chutes, hoppers, transfer points and liners rather than crushing chambers.
Ball, rod and SAG mill liners and shell linersMn steel · alloy steel · high-chrome · rubber · compositeA trade-off between wear life, mill weight and noise. Supplied match-marked to an installation sequence with a written re-torque schedule.
Grinding mediaAlloyed cast balls · forged ballsHardness and chemistry certified per heat, with the spectrometer report issued against the batch.
Conveyor idlers and pulleysHub ZG235-450 (≈ ASTM A27) · shaft 40Cr (≈ ASTM A29M) · shell Q235 (≈ ASTM A283M)Pulleys to 2.2 m diameter and 400 t tension. Idler production line rated at 800,000 rollers a year, with bearing life above 50,000 hours.
Kiln, cooler and hot-gas castingsHeat-resistant alloysGrate plates, cooler castings, burner and hood components for cement and lime duty.

Casting standards: ASTM A128 (manganese), ASTM A532 (high-chrome white iron), AS 2027, GB/T 5680. Chemistry is spectrometer-tested per heat and the report carries the heat number stamped into the casting. Full detail on Crushing & Milling and Castings & Forgings.

What we need, by product family.

A quotation is only as good as the information behind it. This is the minimum that lets us price properly instead of hedging — and the fastest way to get a real number rather than a placeholder.

Wear partsMachine make, model and equipment number · the worn part, or photographs with measurements at the points we specify · current wear life and change-out interval · feed abrasion index and particle size distribution
Castings & forgingsDrawing or the part itself · material specification and standard · NDT requirement and acceptance criteria · quantity and expected repeat interval
FRP equipmentLiquor, concentration and pH · operating and design temperature · basin, deck or structure survey for retrofit work · your house laminate specification if you have one
PTFE and lined equipmentFluid, concentration and trace contaminants · temperature range and maximum excursion · whether the line or vessel sees vacuum, and to what level · cleanliness grade if electronic or ultra-pure
Pressure equipmentMechanical data sheet or P&ID extract · code, class and jurisdiction · third-party involvement required · your inspection and test plan
Pumps & pipingFlow, head and NPSH available · solids concentration, specific gravity and particle size distribution · operating temperature and pH · line list or isometrics for a package
Valves & dampersTag list · face-to-face dimension and flange rating · body and trim materials · actuation, fail position and signal · testing and certification required
Separation equipmentProcess data sheet · basin or filter deck survey · underflow density and rake torque duty for thickeners · machine make and model where you are matching an existing unit
Anything at allIf you only have a photograph and a part number, send that. We will tell you what is still missing rather than guess and quote something that does not fit.

04  /  Documents

Available on request, from a person.

We do not put a form in front of a PDF to harvest an email address. Ask for what you need and a named engineer sends it, usually the same day — and you get someone who can answer a question about it rather than an automated download.

Product presentationsWear parts for mineral processing · spare parts for the cement industry · FRP scrubber and duct systems · FRP shut-off valves and dampers · steel tanks, piping and process equipment · pumps · water treatment equipment
Capability statementCompany, capability envelope, quality system, standards worked to, and named references — the document a procurement department asks for before adding a supplier.
Reference listNamed clients with the equipment supplied and the year, released with the customer’s permission for the specific project you are asking about.
Quality documentation samplesA redacted example of a manufacturing data book — material certificates, weld map, NDT reports, test records and photographic history — so you can see the standard before you order.

Still not sure which material is right?

Send the duty — the fluid, the temperature, the abrasion, the pressure — and we will tell you what we would specify and why, before you commit to anything.
