Our own staff inspect during fabrication against an Inspection & Test Plan you approved before steel was cut. Where the contract requires certified inspection we appoint TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas, ABS or Moody and attend with them. Your own inspector is welcome at any stage, at any factory.
01 / The honest version
We will not claim a perfect record.
Nobody who has been building heavy equipment since 1988 has one, and a supplier who tells you otherwise is asking you to stop thinking. What we do claim is narrower and more useful: when something has not met specification, we have found it before the customer did, corrected it at our own cost, and held the shipment until it was right.
That is the whole promise. It is also the reason a delivery date occasionally moves here — and the only reason we will let one move.
The rest of this page is the mechanism that makes it possible. It is deliberately unglamorous.
02 / The chain
Five points where equipment normally goes wrong.
Most defects are decided long before anyone picks up a welding torch — in the quotation, in the shop selection, in an ITP nobody read. That is where we spend our attention.
Specification and drawing review
Before we quote, our engineers read your drawings, specification and duty conditions. Where information is missing — and on replacement parts it usually is — we measure on site and generate new drawings for your approval.
Factory selection
We match the item to a shop that has actually built it before, from a network of ISO 9001 fabricators we have used and audited since 2006. The cheapest quote does not win, and we will tell you which shop it is.
Customer-approved ITP
Drawings, welding and lay-up procedures and the Inspection & Test Plan are approved by you before fabrication begins. Hold points and witness points are agreed in writing, not assumed.
In-process inspection
Our bilingual staff visit during fabrication and report with dated photographs. Where the contract calls for it we coordinate TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas, ABS or Moody. Your own inspector is welcome at any stage.
Data book on delivery
Material of construction certificates, quality control reports, NDT results, third-party inspection reports and as-built drawings — assembled and checked per major item, handed over at completion rather than chased for afterwards.

What customers ask about our QC.
Do you inspect every item, or only sample?
It depends on what the item is and what the ITP says. On a single large vessel, everything is inspected. On a batch of repeat parts we agree a sampling plan with you in writing before fabrication rather than deciding afterwards.
Can we appoint our own inspector?
Yes, at any stage, and we will tell you which factory to send them to. We have never refused a customer inspector and we do not treat one as a sign of mistrust.
Which third-party bodies do you work with?
TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas, ABS and Moody most often. We appoint them, brief them against your specification, attend with them and review their reports before they reach you.
What is in the data book?
Material of construction certificates, quality control reports, NDT results, any third-party inspection reports and as-built drawings — assembled per major item and handed over at completion.
What happens if something fails inspection?
It is recorded as a non-conformance with a disposition, you are told the same day if it affects the schedule, and it is corrected at our cost before shipment. We do not ship and argue about it later.
